What types of products would you love to see us launch with in our BABY AND CHILD store?
I would love to see my staples - Graco, Britax, Evenflo for the big baby items. I would also like to see day-to-day items like Johnson and Johnson, Playtex, Nuby, Pampers. And, if you are going to get into clothes - Carters, Osh-Kosh...oh my, I could go on forever. And lots of toys!!! I would love to shop in a place where I don't get ripped off because I'm Canadian. (ahem, babies/toys'rus, etc) I live 10 minutes from US shopping, but I would much rather keep my dollar here - when its fair to myself as a consumer. Its too easy to hop across the river when the dollar is at par.
I would like to see great learning toys for the preschool age children. As well as 'green' products like cloth diapers (that don't cost a fortune!) and toys made from recycled materials!
I would love to see eco-friendly options for baby and children! Very important when you have children with sensitive skin, and it's good for our environment!
Offering common brand name items would be great but, what I think would make Shop.ca even better is to include independant businesses or unique products. There are so many unique products that are available in the U.S. that aren't available here. Maybe it's because they're made in the U.S. but I'm sure there are plenty of Canadian based businesses that offer unique items too.
I shop online in the US for diapers, and have them shipped to a US address and cross the border to pick them up. It's a huge hassle, but nobody else in Canada sells Eco-friendly disposables at any sort of reasonable price. We generally spend $300 at a time, and stock up for a few months (we have 2 in diapers!!) I would be willing to pay a bit more to order within Canada, especially if that meant not having to do the cross-border pickup, but like i said, there just isn't any Canadian retailers online. We like Earth's Best, Seventh Generation, or Nature Babycare, whichever is cheapest, and we look to pay between $0.24 - $0.30 per diaper.
I would love to be able to get the eco-friendly and green products for my son all in one place! If you could offer the Live Clean Baby line that would be great too as it can be difficult to find in the smaller areas. I would also love to be able to order the Melissa and Doug line of toys!
I agree that i would like to be able to purchase items from Canada that do not cost a fortune. Many times the same item in the US is half price. It would be nice to get items for a fair price in Canada.
I literally buy all my baby needs from the state, either from Target or online at wayfair because for the exactly same item, it's way cheaper over in the state than here! So I hope shop.ca can offer better than the stores in the state, like others I would prefer to keep dollars here. Can't wait to shop ;-)
Would love to see Britax, Boon, Skip Hop, Melissa & Doug, and green, eco-products at affordable prices (cloth diapers, bath products (like Earth Mama Angel Baby and Green Beaver), etc.)
Oh my! The prices are even higher than on other canadian online stores! I get most of these items (like Pediped shoes) for less than half this price from States. And there are no taxes either!
I would love to see the same price here in Canada. Otherwise what is the purpose of this online store?
I'm loving the fact that you get rewards for the purchases you make. I was going to purchase a stroller from a retailer and have it shipped, this way I get $10 off and earn reward points too! Looking forward to more brands and better prices though!
