How Brita® Filters WorkIn a Brita® Faucet filter, there is a two-step process. When you turn on your tap, water first passes through a non-woven screen around the filter to trap sediment. Then, the water then flows through a compressed block of carbon and zeolite, reducing chlorine (for taste and odor) and lead.
