SHOP.CA Offers Free Returns On All Returnable Products
Free means free! SHOP.CA even pays for the shipping to get the product back to us. We extend the typical return period and accept qualifying returns for up to 365 days after purchase date. A few simple exceptions do apply.
All qualifying products must be returned in a new or unused condition with all original materials in their original packaging.
What Exceptions Apply?
By the very nature of some of the products we sell, we have to have some limitations around our up to 365 day rule. It’s pretty simple: any products purchased from the Computers and Electronic category products can be returned up to 180 days of receipt. Products from our Photo and Video category can be returned up to 60 days of receipt; that’s double the typical return policy in Canada. Pretty cool, eh!
Refurbished products are final sale. There is a 90 day warranty for exchange or repair, but no refunds will be given for products that are marked as refurbished.
As well, some returns will have additional shipping charges. They include returns from a remote area, oversized, high-value or fragile products. A simple way to think of it, is like this; in most cases, if it was shipped to you for free, it will be free to ship back. If you incurred an extra charge getting a product to you, you will incur an extra charge returning it to us. This includes items from SHOP.CA Direct Home.
We wish everything could be returnable at SHOP.CA, but there are some items that can’t be returned at all. Examples of these products would be: any food product, downloaded eBooks, digital music or any travel bookings you make. Additional examples include non-factory sealed headphones or headsets, software, copyrighted materials, and baby products like carseats, diapers and breast pumps. Gaming consoles must be factory sealed. Video games must be unopened, and factory sealed. Additional items that are final sale will be marked on the product description page.

Getting Your Full-Value Refund
When you initiate a qualifying return within the first 30 days of your original purchase date, the full-value refund will be applied to the original method of payment. At SHOP.CA we think you deserve better than just a typical 30 day return window. So, we’re excited to be able to extend the typical return policy to up to 365 days and offer our customers full-value refunds in SHOP.CA Rewards™ on returnable products after 30 days.
Once your return is received and approved by our returns facility , SHOP.CA will refund your product order. You can expect to receive your refund within 5-7 business days after it’s been approved and you will receive an email with the details of your refund.
If you're making a qualifying return during the first 30 days, and you used SHOP.CA Rewards™ for your order, your Rewards will be refunded first, with the balance going to your original method of payment.
When you return something, you’re also returning the SHOP.CA Rewards™ you earned on that purchase. If you haven’t spent the Rewards yet, we’ll simply take them out of your SHOP.CA Member account. If you have, their value will be automatically deducted from your refund.
We also refund the full value of the merchandise if your return is a result of our error or a defective product.

One Cent Event Return Policy
When returning products that are part of our One Cent Event, the following return conditions apply. Upon returning both items within the regular return window, the customer will receive the full value of their purchase back, but broken up as follows: The full value of the One Cent item will be deducted from the refund of the larger item. The One Cent item refund will be increased to its full value. Once both items are returns and approved, the customer will receive their full value refund.
If the customer chooses not to return the item purchased for one cent, but return the larger item, the full value of the One Cent item will be deduced from the refund of the larger item.
