Radian RXT Ventura

As a practical mother who only likes to make purchases once, I did extensive research on best toddler car seats in the market. At the time, my daughter was out growing her bucket seat quickly. I must of visited at six baby stores before deciding to go with the Radian.

I knew I wanted a seat that would have a great Canadian safety ratings, compact-ability (which doesn’t take up 1.5 seats) and it would grow with her so that I wouldn’t have to buy something else in the future when she gets heavier and taller.

Who I compared it with:
• Britax – great product but way too bulky! It would take up two seats in the back, so at most I could only fit one passenger in the rear. As well, as she was getting heavier and heavier, I found it was difficult to load her in and out because of the large side profile.
• Safety First – great price point, but the foot print was too large again and it didn’t seem to have enough head support, especially when she falls asleep in the car.

Disadvantages:
• Not meant to be moved from one car to another. Extremely heavy because of the steel frame.
• Really should be used with the car seat buckles instead of a standard seat belt
• Takes a while to take it out of a car especially if you are travelling with it on a plane

Overall:
• I am extremely happy with the car seat and I would definitely buy it again.
