About Cuisinart

Julia Child let people in on the Cuisinart® secret and so did James Beard. They were among the first culinary experts to endorse the food processor as a revolutionary kitchen appliance when it was introduced to the U.S. in 1973 by the late Cuisinart® founder, Carl Sontheimer. They saw the food processor as a quick and easy way to make fine food and healthy dishes. The Cuisinart® Food Processor was introduced to Canadians two years later, in 1975.

Under management from Conair Corporation since 1989, the legacy is alive and well. Today, Cuisinart® is a universally recognized name, endorsed by culinary connoisseurs such as Jacques Pépin and Jean-Louis Palladin.

The prestigious Cuisinart® brand is not limited to food processors. Plugged or unplugged, no one covers the kitchen like Cuisinart®. The company is a full kitchen resource with a wide array of products, preferred by chefs and favoured by consumers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Highly overprice / bad quality item Two months after I bought IT all the buttons lost their "identity"... You can think of a quality yourself. Water has to be boiled anyway... So, all this "keyboard" - is totally useless. One year after - it still boils water ! That is why this overprice item deserves TWO stars )))

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't boil I brought both the kettle and matching toaster from Costco. After about a month. The kettle stopped working (wouldn't boil) I took it back and was given a refund. I thought this was a one off problem and as I had a matching toaster from Cuisinart. I purchased another kettle of the same design. It stopped working today. 8 months later. I will have to drive over to Costcos again to obtain a refund. I have now learnt my lesson. Never to buy another Cuisinart appliance again and to spread the word on their lack of reliability

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought this kettle 2 months short of 3 years ago. The good news was that it had a three year warranty but the bad news was that I have to pay to ship it for repairs and also pay $10 for it to come back to me. I believe I paid just under $100 for this kettle and I should expect it to last for more than three years. Almost any cheap kettle would last much longer. I have decided it is not worth spending another $30 on what appears to be a poor product. I will never recommend a Cusinart product to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the temperature settings, but this is heavy I love the temperature settings for the various types of tea that I drink. Having the right temperature makes a noticeable difference in the flavor of the brew. The top opens wider than some other brands, making it easier to fill. Do not like the fact it remembers the setting and resumes where it left off when you set it back on the base. Some may like it, but I am used to my old kettle turning off once lifted from the base. It takes a bit of getting used to that this is still on and will resume heating, although the lights on the handle do provide a reminder, if you look. Generally I like it a lot but it is substantially heavier than other brands. With 1.2 liters of water in it it is heavier than some other brands with 1.7 L. That may be important to someone with low arm strength.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I bought this product just over a year ago. Within one month the plastic lid popped off and could not be re-attached. I took it back to the store where I bought and luckily they gave me a new one. The replacement kettle no longer works after 11 months of use. I generally like Cuisinart products and associate the name with a quality product. This kettle was expensive and not worth the price. Will not purchase another Cuisinart kettle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If I could give it a zero, I would. Paid $80 retail for what we expected would be a high-quality, long-lasting product. Within 3 months the lever/spring functionality to open the kettle started to stick; shortly thereafter, it stopped working entirely and the hot kettle needed to be pried open when needing refilling. Just when we thought it couldn't get more ridiculous for an overpriced kettle, the stainless steel cap on the lid fell off. I just want my money back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We purchased our Cuisinart Kettle on Oct 2012. It worked great for the first 2 years then one day it started to act up. It will not bring the water to a boil and sometimes will not even start to heat the water. This kettle was quite expensive to work only 2 years. Also the black writing on the temp setting buttons also wears off within a year. The one great thing is the 3 year warranty. Good thing I kept the original receipt.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from broke down after 25 months!!! We paid $200 for this kettle. It would always turn off completely before reaching the set temperature and we would have to turn it on again. THEN It started giving up issues days after the extended warranty. I received a scald as the lid popped open while I was reaching to turn it off. Now it's stuck in the cupboard useless while we use a $15 kettle my son lent to us. He bought it five years ago!!!!!! Terrible contraption
